Lookout Safari Family Coaster Coming to Lake Winnie Park

Lookout Safari Family Coaster Coming to Lake Winnie Park

A new family roller coaster is planned for Lake Winnie Amusement Park in Rossville, Georgia. The park recently announced the upcoming arrival of Lookout Safari, an attraction scheduled to open during the 2026 season. While new to Lake Winnie, the coaster is a Tivoli model from Zierer and is coming to the park from the Indianapolis Zoo, where it operated under the name Kombo. At the zoo, the ride ran from 2021 to 2025 before being removed to make way for an expansion of the zoo itself. New Rides Lead Adventureland's Latest Park Investment

New Rides Lead Adventureland's Latest Park Investment

Long Island's Adventureland is welcoming parkgoers this season with several new attractions. The park opened for the season on March 20, with The Ram as its headline addition. The Ram is part of a broader $15 million investment that began in 2024. Adventureland, which first opened in 1962, has long been a regional favorite and continues to evolve with new experiences. That 45-foot-tall attraction featured a space-themed experience that lifted riders high into the air before flipping and spinning them. It has now been replaced with a more family-friendly option. The Ram is a pirate ship ride, a style that park manager Jeanine Gentile describes as a fan favorite. She said the park is pleased to bring back a ride similar to a past hit. The Ram is a ...   [read more]

After significant efforts and strong advocacy from stakeholders across the amusement industry, the H-2B Certified Seasonal Employer (CSE) and the Amusement Industry's P-Visa language has been included in the House FY27 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations baseline bill (Section 409). This marks the first time any proposed H-2B cap relief measure has been incorporated into a baseline appropriations bill. According to the Seasonal Employment Alliance, this represents a major step forward in securing cap relief for seasonal employers and workers. Language included in a baseline bill is considerably more difficult to remove than an amendment, which has been the vehicle for all previous H-2B cap relief efforts. The CSE & P-Visa language will now move to the Senate for further consideration. While the legislation has not yet reached the finish line, this development represents significant progress in the effort to secure long-term H-2B reform. The CSE designation would exempt ...   [read more]
