Bi-Partisan congressional support for the H-2B program is more important now than ever. One of the most effective champions for expansion with verified worker protections for the H-2B program has been Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX, 28th District). The progressive wing of the Democratic party has been raising millions in an effort to primary Congressman Cuellar out of office. Aside from being a supporter of the H-2B program, he has proven to be a very effective, reasonable, and outspoken member of congress.
"Congressman Cuellar is the sponsor of H.R. 3897, the H2B Returning Worker Exception Act of 2021, which is an authorizing bill in the U.S House of Representatives that would make improvements to the H-2B nonimmigrant worker program and permanent cap relief. The H-2B Workforce Coalition and the OABA support this legislation", said Gregg Hartley, Executive Vice Chair & CEO of Husch Blackwell Strategies.
The Outdoor Amusement Business Association along with others in the industry are co-hosting a fundraiser / reception for Congressman Cuellar's reelection campaign in San Antonio during the IAFE/SLA Trade Shows. The reception will take place on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 4:00PM.

It is important that Congressman Cuellar knows that support is coming due to his long-standing support for H2B and our industry.
