EXTENDED CLOSURE AT DISNEY WORLD (For the First Time in Forever)
Amusement Parks are closed across the nation to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Disney World Resort closed on March 15 at the end of business. A definite opening day has yet to be announced.

IAAPA Urges Senate for Relief Requests to Mitigate the Attractions Industry
Today, Hal McEvoy, CEO & President, IAAPA sent a letter to all United States Senators that outlines requests for the attractions industry to be included in COVID-19 relief legislation:

Department of Homeland Security and FEMA Weekly Updates
The Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and FEMA's Office of Response and Recovery Logistics Management Directorate are holding weekly update calls regarding COVID-19. The teleconference will include an overview of the current situation, a discussion on supply chain issues, updates from available regions or sectors, and will conclude with an open forum for questions and information sharing. - Provide $250 billion of immediate liquidity to maintain employment at travel-dependent businesses such as attractions through a Travel Workforce Stabilization Fund.
- Provide an Emergency liquidity facility to stabilize the industry.
- Tax relief - Allow businesses experiencing coronavirus-related financial distress to defer tax liability.
- Other critical provisions to protect employees and businesses.
