New $450 Million Oasis Amusement Resort Coming to Lake of the Ozarks
A major new amusement park and resort is coming to Osage Beach, Missouri. The $450 million development, known as Oasis at Lakeport, is rising near the Lake of the Ozarks and is set to become a significant attraction for the region.
Construction was originally expected to finish in 2025, but unavoidable delays pushed the timeline back. When complete, Oasis at Lakeport will feature more than 20 acres of amusement rides, over 400 hotel rooms, meeting spaces, and various retail areas.
The amusement park and a parking garage are now scheduled to open in summer 2026. Additional components, including the adjoining hotel and indoor waterpark, are planned for completion in early 2027.
The project has been in development for several years. Skyview Partners' managing partner Todd Schneider explained that delays stemmed from challenges in acquiring timeshare properties. The team needed to secure ownership of more than 2,400 deeded weeks from the nearby Lakewood Resort Timeshares to build the required parking garage.
“It was owned by over 2,400 individuals who each owned one deeded week. So, we had over 2,400 contracts and closings,” Schneider said.
He added that the acquisition is now complete. The timeshares had been located where the waterpark will be built, and demolition of the structures took significant time. With that work now finished, major construction on the amusement park site resumed this summer.
The parking garage will include 900 spaces, and the future hotel complex will provide an additional 300 underground spaces.
With acquisition and demolition hurdles cleared, Skyview has expanded its plans. The developers have partnered with the regional Napoli Brothers pizza and pasta restaurant group to build a 4,755-square-foot Napoli Bros. location next to the amusement park, ensuring plenty of food options for guests.
Schneider expressed excitement about the progress and the opportunities the development brings. He noted that while the region once offered many family-friendly attractions beyond the lake, many have disappeared over the years. Oasis at Lakeport aims to fill that void with a mix of major rides, including a Ferris wheel, multiple steel roller coasters, and several children's attractions.

The first phase will feature 11 rides, including a climate-controlled Ferris wheel reaching 200 feet. Other attractions will include The Plunge, a 100-foot drop tower with open-leg seating that offers a slow ascent and an intense freefall.
An 8,000-square-foot arcade, dining options, and concessions will also debut during the initial phase in summer 2026.
The second phase, targeted for early 2027, includes the 402-room Marriott Resort and Conference Center and an indoor waterpark. Plans for the waterpark call for a retractable roof, an amphitheater, and 200 public boat slips.
Skyview Partners has developed other amusement attractions across the United States, including the Atlanta Observation Wheel and the San Francisco Carousel and Bay Plunge Tower at Pier 39.
Bob Brinkman of Brinkman Constructors, the project's general contractor, said his company is thrilled to participate. He emphasized that strong partnerships across the project will contribute to its success and support economic growth in Missouri.
Schneider highlighted that Oasis at Lakeport will offer memorable experiences for both residents and tourists. "We also have a ballroom and two event lawns that will be great for weddings and events," he added, noting the strong business interest in the project's 30,000 square feet of meeting space.
Jeff Tegethoff of Tegethoff Development echoed this sentiment, stating that he is committed to supporting the Osage Beach community and the broader Lake of the Ozarks region.
The development is expected to generate more than 500 jobs and boost local tax revenue and retail activity due to increased tourism.
Construction costs have risen since the project was introduced. Initial estimates in 2022 placed the price at $300 million, but the current figure is $450 million. According to Schneider, the increase reflects refinements in scope and design as plans progressed.
Elsewhere in Osage Beach, additional development is underway. A once-busy mall with space for 100 stores has seen occupancy fall to just 20 as of September 2025. Developers plan to revitalize the property, beginning with a 75,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shop slated to open in 2027.
In the nearby Bagnell Dam Strip area, Super Splash USA, formerly Big Surf Waterpark, reopened this year, adding another entertainment option for visitors.
Together, these projects signal a surge in family-friendly attractions for the Lake of the Ozarks region. Oasis at Lakeport is poised to become a major highlight of the area's growing entertainment landscape.
