Quassy Brings In Two New Rides for 2025
Quassy Amusement Park & Waterpark is bringing in new attractions for the new year and its 117th year: both a spinning family coaster and a new swing ride to the Middlebury, CT landmark. The park frequently opens new attractions every year – last year brought the park's popular Super Himalaya, it's high-speed, circular ride.
Currently offering 24 rides, a waterpark, and lake beach area, Quassy is big on growth. The spinning family coaster is a family ride from SBF-Visa Group. The ride offers a figure-eight shaped track and 4 spinning carts that circle the winding course. Painted in the park's own bright yellow and rich blue, the carts seat 16 riders. The bright blue track extends 190 feet making the attraction a true family coaster. The ride is currently unnamed.

Quassy is also retiring their beloved Yo-Yo Swing ride, which debuted in 2004, and replacing it with the Aladdin Wave Swinger. The new ride is being custom built for the park by Wooddesign Amsuement Rides. Woodesign is well known for creating custom carousel and swing rides with a nostalgic vibe, rides that are designed to reflect the park they're created for. Located in the Netherlands, the company creates custom carved panels featuring animals and various characters on the new rides it manufactures, as well as restoring classic merry-go-rounds and swing rides. The Aladdin Wave will have wooden panels hand carved to represent characters from the film Aladdin. The Chance Yo-Yo Swing has been sold, but the park has not announced the buyer.
Quassy president Eric Anderson is excited about bringing both new rides to the park in the coming year, calling the new rides a “thrilling adventure” for park guests, and noting that “having the opportunity to showcase two new rides in one season is rare. These unique rides are wonderful additions to our beautiful park. We're so excited for our guests to experience the thrilling adventure…”

For the start of the 2024 season, Quassy revamped its historic Fireside Pavilion, originally built in 1937. This was the first season with the fully remodeled pavilion, which offered new space for events and shows, as well as new restrooms, roofing, electrical, lights, skylights, and air vents. The improvements cost nearly $200,000.
Season passes for 2025 are currently for sale for $105.99 for park access and $35 for parking. The season pass has been upgraded per the park's social media, to now include a new discount of $10 Quassy Cash, with the offer extended to December 31st. Season pass costs represents a very slight price increase over last year, when season passes were priced at $99.99, with single day passes at $32.
Along with upgrades and history-preserving carousel revamp and its new rides for 2025, Quassy remains a bastion of nostalgic family fun, firmly rooted in its beginning as a summer resort at the end of a trolley line.
The classic venue is an iconic one, and its most recent update was designed to both preserve the park's heritage and keep up with the changes necessary for today's needs, reflecting, as Anderson says, “our commitment to providing memorable experiences for families and groups,” with the continued goal that “Quassy remains a place where cherished memories are made for generations to come.”
The park notes that “through the addition of the beautifully crafted Aladdin Wave Swinger. We believe that this charming new swing ride will perfectly compliment Quassy's rich history and enchanting atmosphere. Through the exquisite details that encapsulate the timeless tale depicting the adventures of Aladdin and the genie, this new swing ride promises to add to the magic and nostalgia of Quassy Amusement Park.”
