Rides 4-U to Liquidate Amusement Rides from Cincinnati based Coney Island
Park to refocus on water themed attractions
Rides 4U - New & Used Rides
Cincinnati, Ohio based Coney Island announced this week that it plans to liquidate its amusement park rides by the end of the month and focus all of its attention on its water park.  The rides will be open through September 21.

Coney Island is home to over 24 amusement rides including a Pinfari Roller Coaster, Watkins Tempest, Chance 36ft Carousel, Allen Herschell Flying Bobs, a Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel and Scrambler, among other classic kiddie and adult rides.  In recent years, the park made some additions including a S&S Frog Hopper, Moser Action Arm, and a Dance Party 360 from SBF Visa.

To help move the equipment in a timely manner, Coney Island has partnered with Len Soled's New Jersey based Ride's 4-U to help liquidate park assets.  “The rides are priced to sell,” said Soled of the liquidation.  “Everything is well maintained and operational.  There will be some great deals for Amusement Parks and even some Carnivals,” echoed Soled.

Interested parties are encouraged to contact Rides 4-U and make an offer.  Further information on the equipment will be available on the Rides 4-U web site within the next week.  Purchased equipment may be removed from the park as early as October 1.

Coney Island President and CEO Rob Schutter Jr. indicated the majority of guest feedback showed that visitors attended the park for the water features and that dividing its resources between the two sections of the park was limiting the amount of money that could be invested into the park.

“All of our consumer research, all of our consumer feedback, and all of our in-park data shows that the vast majority of our guests come to Coney Island because of the fun they have while in the Sunlite Pool area,” Schutter said.
