Guests visiting Six Flags Great Adventure this season will begin to see the first wave of changes, as the company rolls out updates and new experiences at the New Jersey based park.

At Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, the park has announced updates to its Boardwalk-themed area, described as a refreshed “classic shorefront escape” for the 2026 season. Enhancements will include new rides, updated food and beverage options, and additional games designed to evoke the timeless charm of the Jersey Shore. One addition is a revamped Reverchon spinning coaster previously operated at another Six Flags location.

Guests visiting Great Adventure this season will also find upgraded dining locations and newly installed track sections on the park's iconic wooden coaster, El Toro, resulting in a smoother ride experience.

For opening day, running March 28 through April 12, the park will host the Safari Spring Break Celebration, featuring new wildlife-themed entertainment. Guests can enjoy close-up animal encounters, themed activities, photo opportunities, and family-friendly experiences.

This seasonal event coincides with the return of access to the Safari Off-Road Adventure from within the park. The safari features more than 1,200 animals from around the world, including elephants, tigers, and giraffes, and is included with theme park admission.

Looking ahead, Great Adventure is set to debut a new Mack Rides launch coaster in 2027. Currently under construction, the attraction appears to feature a vertical component and is reportedly named Phantom Spire.
